On September 7, 2021, an event took place in Salzburg with the support of the Order of St. George on a topic that is particularly close to the heart of our Grandmaster Karl von Habsburg: the Tur Abdin. This region, steeped in history, is an important root of Christianity, but its preservation is unfortunately in great danger. Organized by the Syrian Institute Salzburg, the Paris Lodron University, Blue Shield and Pro Oriente, almost 100 people from all over Austria took part in the top-class panel discussion. Including a strong delegation from the Order of St. George, led by our procurator Baron Vinzenz von Stimpfl-Abele, Vice Chancellor Dr. Peter Harold, Capitular Dr. Manfred Hasenöhrl and Commander Dr. Wilhelm von Zitzewitz.
