The Order of St. George, whose activities are not for profit, aims at the veneration of St. George as the patron saint of chivalry, the cultivation of chivalry and a chivalrous outlook on life.
The Order is Christian.
The Order is European, it supports the multinational old-Austrian state idea, the increased need for cooperation with the states of Central and South-Eastern Europe and is committed to a united, self-confident Europe.
The Order is conservative in its values, economically liberal and committed to comprehensive national defence.
The Order sees itself as part of a value-conservative, Europe-oriented network and takes a stand on political issues.
The Order is charitable and strives to alleviate or combat eightfold misery:
- Sickness and abandonment
- Homelessness and hunger
- Unkindness and guilt
- Indifference and unbelief
The Order is elitist. Admission is only granted after a verified proposal by a member of the Order.
