Hofrat Dr. M. Christian Ortner presented his impressive book “The Austro-Hungarian Army and its Last War 1914 – 1918”, in which he describes the Habsburg Monarchy’s path to war and the war planning of the Great Powers. In addition, the most important military events of the war years 1914 to 1918 are highlighted in the work, as well as other highly interesting, but lesser-known aspects of the First World War are told.
Hofrat Dr. M. Christian Ortner is a knight of the Order and director of the Museum of Military History in Vienna.
