Excerpt from the Chancellor´s letter on the passing away:
It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing away of our Order Knight Mag. pharm. Heinrich Karl Burggasser, who was the victim of a horrific violent crime in Vienna on the night of 1 January at the age of 74.
Mag. pharm. Heinrich Karl Burggasser was a pharmacist and long-time top functionary in the Chamber of Pharmacists, which he even chaired as President from 2007 to 2012. Among other things, he was a recipient of the Grand Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria and was held in the highest esteem in his professional and private circles.
Our brother Heinrich Karl was admitted to the Order of St. George in Varazdin in 2012 and belonged to the commandry of Vienna-Hofburg. He accompanied the Order on an educational trip to Israel, for example, in which our Grand Master also participated.
My and our sincere condolences go to his family members and all his relatives.
