As a result of the great earthquake, there is not only great damage to buildings until they are demolished, but also great hardship for people who had to leave their homes.
For this reason, the city of Karlovac has made apartments available to some families with children who can no longer live in their homes. The children of these families can only take part in lessons in their schools by means of distance learning, as many schools have also been badly damaged.
In its meeting on January 25, 2021, the dames committee decided to purchase nine laptops. Dr. Valentina Keblar has obtained an offer for used, serviced (2 year guarantee) devices. The acquisition and handover of the devices on site was also organized by her; participation from Austria was not possible due to tightened lockdown conditions and in the short term.
The handover of the nine laptops to the city of Karlovac took place on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. RA Damir Delišimunović gave a welcoming speech, as did Dr. Valentina Keblar as representative of the dames. Mayor Mr. Mandić thanked wholeheartedly for the donation. He talked a little about the situation after the earthquake and the city’s plans for further development.
